Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP or SLPA license required
- Valid SLP educator certificate issued by the state of South Carolina
- Experience working in school settings—elementary/primary school experience is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and individualized treatment planning
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- High level of empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students (Grades K-5) in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to integrate therapy into daily routines
- Assist in developing and updating students’ communication goals, maintaining thorough records and documentation
- Regularly communicate with families and caregivers regarding progress and strategies for support at home
- Employ engaging, evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s individual needs
