Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active South Carolina SLP or SLPA license required
  • Valid SLP educator certificate issued by the state of South Carolina
  • Experience working in school settings—elementary/primary school experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and individualized treatment planning
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • High level of empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students (Grades K-5) in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to integrate therapy into daily routines
  • Assist in developing and updating students’ communication goals, maintaining thorough records and documentation
  • Regularly communicate with families and caregivers regarding progress and strategies for support at home
  • Employ engaging, evidence-based interventions tailored to each student’s individual needs
