This school-based opportunity provides the chance to work closely with experienced professionals and students eager to reach their language and speech goals. The assignment begins August 24th, 2026, and runs through June 12th, 2027, offering a stable schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) at locations in Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field
  • Eligibility to work in Virginia public schools (no SLPA license required in VA)
  • Foundational knowledge of language and communication disorders in pediatric populations
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt strategies for diverse classrooms and student needs
  • Organized, reliable, and committed to supporting student success throughout the academic year

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in providing direct and indirect support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Implement treatment plans to enhance communication, language, and articulation skills for students across multiple school sites
  • Track student progress, collecting data and maintaining documentation as required
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Support classroom inclusion and positive learning environments for students
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to refine your skills
