Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one in Virginia
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to follow therapy plans as directed by a supervising SLP
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Adaptability and teamwork within a multidisciplinary educational team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech and language treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Conduct individual or group therapy sessions to support students’ speech and language goals
  • Collect and record data to monitor student progress
  • Assist with development and adaptation of therapy materials
  • Communicate student progress and needs to supervising SLP and other educational staff
  • Participate in meetings and professional development as required by the school
