Make a meaningful impact supporting students in a school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. In this contract position, you'll deliver speech and language services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, collaborating with educational teams to ensure every student receives the individualized care and support they need.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or a related field, or an AAS degree from an SLPA program
- Active SLPA certification
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to handle high-stress and crisis situations in collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Willingness to work onsite and travel between schools if needed; services are in-person only
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services according to students’ IEPs
- Work closely with licensed SLPs, benefitting from direct supervision and mentoring
- Adapt to working at multiple school sites throughout the day as required
- Document services and progress in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Communicate regularly with educators and families to support student progress
