You'll collaborate with an expert team utilizing innovative, individualized approaches and provide essential speech and language interventions that help students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state credential or license for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or Clinical Fellow, as applicable
- Demonstrated expertise working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students with ASD or other learning differences in educational settings
- Adaptability, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to fostering growth, autonomy, and life skills in high school-aged students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services as part of an interdisciplinary team, emphasizing student strengths and needs
- Integrate AAC technology into student programs, customizing communication strategies for individual learners
- Support goal-directed skill development leading toward increased independence for each student
- Document session progress, collaborate with classroom staff, and provide ongoing input to IEPs and planning processes
- Participate in relevant training and professional development sessions throughout the assignment
