Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification
  • School-based SLPA experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in children and adolescents
  • Ability to travel between sites as part of an itinerant assignment
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative approach to working with educators, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language support services to students in accordance with IEPs and supervisor direction
  • Implement therapy activities, assist with screenings, and collect data under the guidance of a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and staff to support student progress
  • Document student performance, maintain records, and assist in the preparation of reports
  • Participate in team meetings, contribute to interventions, and foster a positive learning environment
  • Travel between assigned school sites as needed throughout the school year
