Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in an engaging contract role based near Annapolis, MD. This itinerant position spans across five schools, serving students in grades K-12, with the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside a dedicated team that includes two experienced SLPs and another SLPA. What we’re looking for:
- Valid Maryland SLPA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students across a broad age and ability range (K-12)
- Willingness to travel between school locations as an itinerant professional
- Positive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for supporting student growth
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to assigned students under SLP supervision
- Support SLPs with therapy planning, documentation, and data tracking
- Collaborate with general and special education staff, as well as other team members, to implement speech and language IEP goals
- Engage in a mix of service delivery models (pull-out, push-in, small group, 1:1) based on student needs and settings
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training for professional growth
