Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Valid SLPA license/certification in California
  • Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented approach, enthusiastic about supporting diverse student populations
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in executing therapy plans and achieving IEP goals
  • Provide direct, supervised therapy to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
  • Assist in preparing therapy materials and documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
  • Record accurate data and maintain detailed progress notes
  • Participate in staff meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities as required
  • Support students’ communication development in classroom and pull-out settings
