Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or equivalent from an accredited program
- Valid SLPA license/certification in California
- Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented approach, enthusiastic about supporting diverse student populations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in executing therapy plans and achieving IEP goals
- Provide direct, supervised therapy to students, both one-on-one and in small groups
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Record accurate data and maintain detailed progress notes
- Participate in staff meetings, team discussions, and professional development activities as required
- Support students’ communication development in classroom and pull-out settings
