Qualifications:

  • Current SLPA licensure in the state of Texas
  • Experience or familiarity working in elementary school environments
  • Strong collaboration skills for working alongside educators, support staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt techniques for various grade levels (1st through 5th)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Organizational skills and flexibility in dynamic, fast-paced settings

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students under the supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support classroom teachers by integrating speech and language strategies into daily instruction
  • Document and track students’ progress, providing input for IEPs and progress reports
  • Assist in developing age-appropriate communication materials and resources for classroom activities
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, collaborating with staff to address students’ needs
  • Offer guidance to teachers and families regarding carryover of speech-language strategies
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with Texas regulations
