School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Arlington, VA

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Current SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain in the state of Virginia
• Previous experience supporting speech-language therapy in a school setting is highly desirable
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Enthusiasm for working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Assist with preparing materials and adapting activities for classroom and individual needs
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation of sessions
• Communicate effectively with students, educators, and parents to support student goals
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) as appropriate
