Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure or credential as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience supporting speech therapy programs in school and/or healthcare environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation, or a strong willingness to learn
- Adaptability and collaboration skills suited for fast-paced educational settings
- Reliable organizational habits for managing caseload details and therapy materials
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting group and individual therapy sessions for students
- Implement and reinforce therapy goals, exercises, and communication strategies under supervision
- Track student progress, gather detailed data for assessment, and contribute to educational planning
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain orderly therapy spaces
- Support team efforts by communicating effectively with educators, aides, and families
- Help students generalize communication skills across classroom and social settings
- Participate in meetings, training, or professional development opportunities as needed
