This full-time contract position is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work closely with young learners from preschool age and up, delivering high-quality speech and language services throughout the school year and extended school year (ESY) programs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California SLPA license required
  • Previous experience in school settings or healthcare preferred
  • Confident working with diverse student groups, including preschoolers and early elementary students
  • Strong collaborative skills for working alongside SLPs, teachers, and other educational professionals
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to small groups (2-4 students) in 20-30 minute sessions, supporting a variety of communication needs
  • Conduct individualized 1:1 sessions for preschool students or when indicated, tailoring interventions to maximize student progress
  • Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Record and monitor student performance and progress, maintaining detailed and confidential therapy notes
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment and assist with family and team communications as needed
