Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license in the state of Texas
  • Previous experience or strong interest working in a school environment
  • Understanding of IEPs and experience collaborating with certified SLPs
  • Confident providing services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, teachers, and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering individualized and group speech-language therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP
  • Support IEP implementation and document student progress
  • Prepare and organize session materials tailored to various developmental levels
  • Collaborate consistently with SLPs, teachers, and other support staff to help students reach their speech and language goals
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages student confidence and growth
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development throughout the school year
