Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA license in North Carolina (or eligibility)
- Experience in school-based and/or healthcare-based speech therapy preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students and fellow staff
- Ability to implement treatment plans as designed by SLPs
- Familiarity with documentation requirements for schools or clinical settings
- Comfortable adapting to diverse learning needs and maintaining a positive, encouraging environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support the delivery of therapy sessions individually or in small groups, in accordance with established IEPs and treatment plans
- Track student progress and maintain thorough, timely documentation
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and related service providers to achieve best outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and creative strategies to engage students in their communication goals
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of therapy materials and program activities
