Make a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant during the 2026/27 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about supporting communication and language development for children in an educational setting. The assignment runs from August 7, 2026, through June 10, 2027. As an SLPA, you’ll work on-site across locations, with each caseload tailored to the needs of the schools you’ll serve.

Key Qualifications:

  • Holds ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
  • Valid Professional Educator Certification for Alabama
  • Meets all state-specific licensure requirements for SLPAs, including fingerprinting
  • Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations is valued
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans and carry out speech-language therapy activities under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support students’ progress and document responses to interventions
  • Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and supervising clinicians
  • Adapt sessions to meet the diverse needs of students across assigned locations

This contract role is entirely in-person, allowing you to interact directly with students and staff and experience the fulfillment that comes from hands-on support.
