Desired Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active SLPA credential meeting all Alabama state regulations
  • ASHA certification and ABSESPA licensure
  • Valid Professional Educator Certification
  • Any additional Alabama-specific licensure as required for SLPA roles
  • Successful completion of all required fingerprinting and background checks
  • Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, educators, and families

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language support services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Work directly with students to implement treatment plans targeting communication, speech, and language goals
  • Adapt strategies and materials tailored to individual student needs
