An exciting opportunity awaits for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in school environments and is passionate about supporting students’ communication development. This contract position offers a chance to work closely with elementary students, particularly those in PreK through Grade 5, near Blackwell, OK. The role is ideal for candidates who value hands-on experience and enjoy collaborating with educators to deliver high-quality services.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time, consistent schedule: 7:45 am – 3:45 pm (30-minute lunch break)
  • Start date: ASAP for immediate impact in the classroom
  • Caseload: Serve approximately 50 elementary students, both pull-out and push-in services
  • Primary focus: Mild to moderate articulation and language needs in general education settings

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active and current SLPA licensure required
  • Experience or comfort working with students from preschool to Grade 5; willingness to occasionally serve students in Grades 6–12 if needed
  • Ability to adapt interventions for students primarily within general education environments
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills for teamwork with teachers and staff
  • Organizational abilities to manage a dynamic caseload and maintain accurate records

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy for mild/moderate articulation and language needs
  • Implement individualized goals according to IEPs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Provide services through both pull-out and in-class support models
  • Monitor student progress and document session outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with educators and families to support student growth
