This contract role offers hands-on experience delivering speech and language services to a diverse caseload of 50-55 students while collaborating with dynamic school teams. On-site commitment is required, providing a fulfilling face-to-face environment.
Your work week can range from 7.5 to 22.5 hours, with an exciting possibility to increase to full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) as supervision becomes available. Hours may be combined across various schools to accommodate your schedule and maximize impact.
Qualifications:
- Holds an active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
- Experience or strong interest in working within school settings, providing direct services to children and adolescents
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload across multiple schools and adjust to changing environments
- Detail-oriented with proficient documentation and communication skills
- Must complete credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting; familiarity with AHCA Clearinghouse or JLA badge transfer is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech and language interventions to students, assisting with communication goals as directed by supervising SLPs
- Track and document student progress regularly for evaluations and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated care
- Flexibly travel among assigned campuses to meet student needs
