This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility of extending into ESY (Extended School Year) services. Your expertise will support mainly compensatory services across elementary caseloads, guiding students to achieve their communication goals and reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid licensure as SLPA, SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or eligibility for Massachusetts credentials
- Experience or desire to work with pediatric and school-based populations
- Proven ability to support speech, language, and communication development in young learners
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability for a split-site schedule
- Comfort providing services in both healthcare and educational settings a plus
- Positive, collaborative approach and clear communication with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and compensatory services to elementary students
- Travel between two schools located 15 minutes apart during the school day
- Maintain a consistent schedule: 8:00 am – 3:45 pm, with a 20-minute lunch break
- Assess student needs, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Document sessions and outcomes in accordance with district standards
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure comprehensive care
