Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (grades 1 through 5) in an academic or clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students, educators, and families
- Ability to adapt strategies and support based on individual student goals
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a school team
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation effectively
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement therapy activities and interventions tailored to elementary students’ needs
- Track progress and assist in gathering data for student goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings by sharing student insights as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication support within the classroom
- Maintain organized records of therapy sessions and student development
