2nd Grade 4th Grade Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Boston, MA

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess a current SLPA license or eligibility in Massachusetts
• Experience or strong interest in working with children in elementary grade levels (1st-5th Grade)
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, and families
• Ability to follow therapy plans designed by speech-language pathologists
• Proficiency in adapting sessions to meet the diverse needs of students
• Organizational skills and a positive, supportive attitude
• Previous contract experience in a school setting is an advantage

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students in grades 1–5, under the supervision of a certified SLP
• Implement individualized therapy activities that align with students’ educational goals
• Monitor progress, document sessions, and report on student achievements
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate strategies and ensure carryover of skills
• Assist with screenings and data collection for IEP meetings
• Maintain a welcoming and encouraging environment for all learners
