Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid SLPA license or credential for the state.
- Previous experience in school or healthcare settings assisting with speech/language interventions.
- Understanding of child and adolescent language, speech, and communication needs.
- Comfort working with diverse student populations and collaborating with educators and therapists.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Flexibility, self-motivation, and a commitment to student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a certified SLP.
- Implement therapy activities as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Collect data and track student progress, assisting with documentation and progress reporting.
- Foster a supportive, positive learning environment that encourages student participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to reinforce communication strategies.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources to enhance sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and staff development as required throughout the year.
