Step into a dynamic school-based environment, utilizing your Speech-Language Pathology Assistant expertise to make a meaningful difference for students. This full-time, contract position allows you to collaborate with seasoned professionals while supporting several elementary campuses in the area. Your week will be structured with assignments at two elementary schools—spending two days each at Lake Panasoffkee and Wildwood, and one day serving as a floater to provide additional support wherever needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility in Florida
  • Previous experience in an elementary school setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites as needed
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Passion for working with diverse student populations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans developed by supervising SLPs
  • Conduct speech, language, and communication interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Collect and document data to monitor student progress
  • Support IEP goals as part of a collaborative team
  • Offer resources and communicate effectively with teachers and families
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and assist with paperwork as required

Position Details:

  • Contract role with 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: 2 days/week at Lake Panasoffkee Elementary, 2 days/week at Wildwood Elementary, 1 day as a floater (campus assignments based on daily needs)
  • Start date: ASAP; commitment through the end of the current school year
