Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current credentials as an SLPA or prior experience as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA); SLPs with school experience are also welcome
- Understanding of best practices in school speech and language support
- Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress tracking within a school setting
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and students
- Ability to adapt to the academic calendar and school site requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP, following individualized education plans
- Assist in developing and implementing activities to support student communication goals
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records consistent with school district procedures
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student growth and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to promote student success
