Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary-aged students on a full-time contract assignment running from September 14th through December 23rd. Your workday runs from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, giving you structured hours and a meaningful caseload with elementary students. In this position, you'll collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions and help students reach their communication goals.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Valid SLPA license or certification recognized by the state
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably with elementary age groups
- Understanding of IEP goals, special education processes, and data collection for progress monitoring
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with students, educators, and families
- Ability to follow therapy plans and adapt sessions based on student needs under supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with supervising SLP(s) to create and implement lesson plans and therapeutic activities
- Record student progress and contribute to data collection and assessment documentation
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and parent communications as needed
- Support a positive learning environment that fosters student growth and confidence
