Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLPA certification required
  • Experience working with students in 1st through 5th grade preferred
  • Knowledge of school-based speech, language, and communication support
  • Strong communication skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to implement and support individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Flexibility to adapt techniques to fit varied classroom environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of speech and language services in collaboration with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Work alongside teachers to reinforce therapy goals within classroom activities
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the supervising SLP
  • Assist with documentation and routine data collection to track program effectiveness
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as directed
  • Foster a supportive, welcoming atmosphere for students from diverse backgrounds
