Step into a rewarding opportunity where your expertise as a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will make a positive impact in educational settings. With a start date of March 16, 2026, you'll have the chance to begin just before spring break (March 23-27), providing services that truly make a difference.

As an itinerant SLPA, you’ll travel throughout the district to deliver direct support for students who use AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices. Your weekly travel will be approximately 40–50 miles, and mileage reimbursement will be provided so you can focus on student care, not commuting costs. Supervision and professional guidance are integrated into the role, ensuring you have support every step of the way.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current SLPA certification and state licensure
  • Previous experience in schools or with K–12 students preferred
  • Strong familiarity with AAC devices and their effective classroom use
  • Ability to manage a flexible, mobile schedule and travel between school sites
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized speech and language therapy services for students with AAC devices
  • Collaborate with supervising SLP and school personnel to support student programming and progress
  • Document session activities and progress notes in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in meetings and contribute ideas for improving student outcomes
  • Adapt to diverse school environments across the district
