Certified Licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Canyon Country, CA

Make a positive impact on students’ lives as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) serving schools in the Canyon Country area. This contract, full-time role offers a unique opportunity for a Certified and Licensed SLPA to work 30-35 hours per week, starting on March 16, 2026. Enjoy a schedule that accounts for spring break during the week of March 23-27.

The position is itinerant within the district, allowing you to support a diverse caseload. You will provide valuable services to students, especially those utilizing AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, ensuring each child receives the communication support they need. Mileage for travel between school sites is approximately 40-50 miles weekly, and you will be reimbursed for these costs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering speech-language support to students under the supervision of an SLP
• Assisting students with with the use of AAC devices and implementing provider-designed communication plans
• Traveling between multiple school sites within the district as needed
• Documenting session notes and progress according to district requirements
• Collaborating closely with special education teams, classroom teachers, and families

We are looking for candidates with:

• A current SLPA certification and license in California
• Experience or strong interest in school-based settings, particularly with AAC devices
• Reliable transportation for itinerant assignments
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• A passion for making a difference in students' educational and social outcomes
