This itinerant position involves supporting diverse student needs, particularly those utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, ensuring every child attains their communication goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license and certification (required)
  • Experience working with students who use AAC devices preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly between different school environments
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to professional standards and ethical practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services under supervision to students as assigned
  • Work with students requiring AAC support, assisting in device use, programming, and integration into classroom activities
  • Travel to multiple sites within the district each week; mileage is approximately 40-50 miles and will be reimbursed
  • Maintain accurate therapy records and report progress to supervising SLP
  • Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
  • Participate in supervision and professional development as offered
