Step into a rewarding school-based role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, supporting students across various campuses near Cape Coral, FL. This contract position offers the chance to gain diverse experience by collaborating with elementary and middle school students, while working alongside dedicated professionals in a dynamic educational environment.
In this opportunity, you’ll deliver onsite speech-language interventions under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Work assignments span multiple locations, including elementary and middle schools, with part-time hours ranging from 7.5 to 22.5 hours per week and the potential for full-time hours (up to 37.5/week) as additional supervision becomes available.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid FL DOH Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license required
- Experience supporting school-aged students, ideally across both elementary and middle grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with school staff, students, and families
- Adaptability to rotating across several campuses and working with varied caseloads
- Completion of required fingerprinting and background checks in compliance with local education regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite therapy services and interventions to students, serving a caseload of approximately 50-55
- Assist lead SLP in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Travel between assigned schools based on weekly responsibilities and supervision
