Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Centralia, WA

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification, meeting state and national requirements
• Previous experience supporting students in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
• Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans under the direction of supervising SLPs
• Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with a variety of speech and language disorders
• Adaptable and ready to contribute proactively within multidisciplinary education teams

Role Expectations:

• Work alongside SLPs to carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy activities for students
• Assist with screening, evaluation, and documentation processes as directed
• Support and motivate students one-on-one or in small group settings to cultivate progress and confidence
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a cohesive, supportive approach to language development
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
