Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or certification, meeting state and national requirements
- Previous experience supporting students in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to implement treatment plans under the direction of supervising SLPs
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations, including those with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Adaptable and ready to contribute proactively within multidisciplinary education teams
Role Expectations:
- Work alongside SLPs to carry out individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy activities for students
- Assist with screening, evaluation, and documentation processes as directed
- Support and motivate students one-on-one or in small group settings to cultivate progress and confidence
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure a cohesive, supportive approach to language development
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student
- Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
