Qualifications and Experience Sought:

  • Active SLPA license for Washington State (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school setting
  • Understanding of speech-language therapy techniques under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to document student progress and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with implementing therapy plans as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide direct speech-language services to students in individual or small group settings
  • Help create and utilize appropriate resources and materials for students
  • Accurately maintain data and progress notes to report on student achievement
  • Support classroom teachers and staff with strategies to facilitate language and communication goals
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
