Embark on an exciting opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary students in a dynamic, inclusive school environment. This contract role spans from mid-October to early February, providing hands-on experience with a TK-5 caseload. You'll collaborate closely with a supportive supervising SLP to deliver high-quality communication interventions, with the added benefit of meeting and connecting in advance to ensure a positive working relationship.

What We're Seeking:

  • At least three months of professional experience as an SLPA, particularly in a school-based setting
  • Active California SLPA license (required prior to start)
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, bringing added value to our diverse school community
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively under SLP supervision
  • Genuine passion for fostering student growth and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement direct and indirect speech-language therapy activities as delegated by the supervising SLP
  • Support students in grades transitional kindergarten through fifth grade with individualized and group sessions
  • Maintain detailed progress records and collaborate with educational teams
  • Utilize creative materials and approaches to engage students and track their development
  • Consult regularly with the supervising SLP to ensure cohesive, effective services
