Embark on an exciting opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting elementary students in a dynamic, inclusive school environment. This contract role spans from mid-October to early February, providing hands-on experience with a TK-5 caseload. What We're Seeking:
- At least three months of professional experience as an SLPA, particularly in a school-based setting
- Active California SLPA license (required prior to start)
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus, bringing added value to our diverse school community
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively under SLP supervision
- Genuine passion for fostering student growth and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement direct and indirect speech-language therapy activities as delegated by the supervising SLP
- Support students in grades transitional kindergarten through fifth grade with individualized and group sessions
- Maintain detailed progress records and collaborate with educational teams
- Utilize creative materials and approaches to engage students and track their development
- Consult regularly with the supervising SLP to ensure cohesive, effective services
