Step into a rewarding contract role supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, working closely with PreK through 1st grade students. This full-time position runs from July 31, 2026, through May 21, 2027, providing a stable and meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a school-based setting. With a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week and a manageable caseload of 25 students, you'll make a measurable difference each day.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting, particularly ages 3–7
  • Familiarity with implementing therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
  • Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of young learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services to PreK–1st grade students as directed by supervising SLP
  • Support students’ communication goals using both individual and small-group interventions
  • Document and track student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student growth
  • Contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) by supplying progress updates and recommendations
