Step into a rewarding contract role supporting early learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, working closely with PreK through 1st grade students. Desired Skills and Experience:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting, particularly ages 3–7
- Familiarity with implementing therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP
- Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of young learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to PreK–1st grade students as directed by supervising SLP
- Support students’ communication goals using both individual and small-group interventions
- Document and track student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure student growth
- Contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs) by supplying progress updates and recommendations
