Skills & Experience Desired:

  • Current certification as an SLPA
  • Prior experience working in school settings preferred
  • Understanding of speech and language development in children and adolescents
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs, teachers, and support staff
  • Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress tracking
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads, documentation, and schedules
  • Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in dynamic classrooms

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Carry out treatment plans as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Support students individually or in small groups to improve speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Collect data, document student progress, and provide feedback to supervising SLPs
  • Assist with preparing therapy materials and activities
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, caregivers, and staff
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Uphold confidentiality and educational best practices in all interactions
