Key Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA license or certification recognized by the state
  • Experience working in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
  • Familiarity with providing therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional techniques for diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assist in implementing speech and language interventions designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Record and update student progress, maintaining detailed and accurate documentation
  • Support the SLP in preparation of therapy materials and assessment tools
  • Engage with teachers, staff, and families to reinforce strategies for student success
  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development as needed
