Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Clinton, SC

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This position begins July 29 and extends through May 22, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of approximately 40 elementary students each week.

As an SLPA, you'll collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff to help students enhance their communication and language skills. This role welcomes clinical fellows and assistants eager to expand their experience and refine their practice in both school and healthcare settings.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Completion of an SLPA program and required certification
• Experience or coursework in educational or healthcare SLPA settings
• Eagerness to work with elementary-aged children
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Open to recent graduates and clinical fellows

Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Support students in developing effective communication strategies
• Assist with creating and implementing therapy materials
• Conduct small group and individual sessions as directed
• Document student progress regularly
• Engage with teachers and staff to support IEP goals

Schedule & Details:

• Contract duration: July 29 – May 22
• Weekly commitment: 37.5 hours (7:45 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Manage a caseload of around 40 students
