Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic high school setting. This position, based near Colchester and Shelburne, VT, spans the academic year from August 21, 2026, to June 14, 2027. The role is in-person at a vibrant campus, providing hands-on support and collaboration with educators and therapists. No telehealth sessions—your expertise and energy will make a real difference every day.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Current SLPA certification or background in communication sciences
  • Prior experience working in schools or healthcare environments as an SLPA
  • Comfortable providing services for a diverse caseload, including students with mild to severe support needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Adaptable to delivering services through various models: 1:1, small group, push-in, and pull-out
  • Ability to consistently work on-site, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech-language therapy goals as designed by supervising SLPs
  • Offer both direct (individual and group) and indirect student support
  • Assist with assessment and documentation under SLP supervision
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary teams to support students’ communication and academic growth
