Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
  • Active SLPA license (State of Tennessee, or eligibility for licensure)
  • Familiarity with IEPs and school-based speech therapy protocols
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Experience with diverse student populations is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to deliver direct and indirect therapy services
  • Support students individually or in groups to follow prescribed speech/language interventions
  • Collect data and accurately document student progress
  • Prepare materials and assist with therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings as needed and help adapt activities for various learning environments
