Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Texas SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of IEP processes and implementing therapy plans under supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Assist in conducting screenings and informal assessments
  • Help prepare therapy materials and maintain appropriate records of student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive learning atmosphere
  • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
  • Adapt therapy techniques and activities to the unique needs of each student
