Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes and implementing therapy plans under supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in conducting screenings and informal assessments
- Help prepare therapy materials and maintain appropriate records of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive learning atmosphere
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Adapt therapy techniques and activities to the unique needs of each student
