Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Holds a current SLPA license or is eligible to practice as an SLPA in Colorado
- Previous work in a school or pediatric setting is highly recommended
- Solid understanding of speech-language pathology principles and interventions for children
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to team up effectively with SLPs, teachers, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out therapy sessions and language development activities as directed by supervising SLP
- Document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Adapt materials and strategies to match individual student needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights for student progress reports
- Support communication between school staff, students, and families
- Help create a supportive, welcoming environment for students to thrive
