Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity in a supportive school-based setting located near Concord, CA. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to make a difference for students this school year. Start as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year, with the possibility of limited summer (ESY) hours.

You'll work between three to five days per week on-site, engaging with a manageable caseload of around 55 students. Enjoy a consistent daytime schedule, working from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with 7.5 hours onsite daily and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Your focus will be on finishing out IEPs and supporting students to reach their communication goals. Supervision will be provided, and costs for required supervision coverage will be supported, making this a great role for newer SLPAs as well as those with experience.

What you'll bring:

  • Valid SLPA license or certification
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team
  • Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in schools
  • Comfort finishing out IEPs and adapting to evolving caseload needs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, flexible, and organized work style
  • Willingness to obtain supervision (assistance with coverage/costs provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language services under supervision
  • Assist with IEP implementation and data collection
  • Maintain detailed documentation for each student
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and supervising SLP
  • Support a positive, learning-centered environment
