This full-time contract position for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program
- Possess an active SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)
- Support the implementation of individualized education program (IEP) goals for children in kindergarten through 5th grade
- Document student progress, session notes, and maintain records in compliance with federal, state, and school guidelines
- Contribute to team meetings and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Prepare, organize, and adapt therapy materials to suit varied student capabilities
- Participate in ongoing training and meetings to promote best practices in student support
