Key Qualifications:

  • Current SLPA licensure and ability to practice in a school environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting speech and language services for children.
  • Confidence in providing instruction and intervention under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Willingness to participate in a Spanish language skills assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate closely with supervising SLP and educational teams to implement therapy plans and monitor progress.
  • Assist with screenings, assessments, and documentation, ensuring all activities meet compliance and ethical standards.
  • Provide input during team meetings and contribute to program development for speech and language support.
  • Maintain organized records and data logs, documenting student progress and intervention outcomes.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment that celebrates student diversity and language abilities.
