Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students in a school-based setting near Converse, TX. This contract position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and extending through May 28th, 2027. You’ll play a crucial part in helping children achieve their communication goals within a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or certification in the state of Texas.
- Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student care.
- Ability to implement treatment plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication with teachers, staff, and parents.
- Familiarity with documentation and progress reporting for special education services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to support articulation, language, fluency, and social communication goals.
- Document session activities and student progress according to school and state guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support each student’s IEP goals within the classroom setting.
- Participate in training, staff meetings, and professional development as needed.
