Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Texas state licensure as an SLPA (required by start date)
  • Previous experience as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying caseloads and individual student needs
  • Passion for working with children and supporting educational success

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Support students in achieving individualized education plan (IEP) goals related to speech and language
  • Collaborate with SLPs, educators, and families to monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies
  • Document therapy sessions and progress accurately, maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
  • Caseload age preferences may be discussed during the interview and will be considered to ensure a good professional fit
  • Manageable caseloads with an emphasis on quality of care and student outcomes
