This full-time, itinerant contract opportunity places you in varied educational environments, allowing you to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and help students achieve academic and social success.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of California
  • Prior experience in a school setting highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as required by the itinerant role
  • Proven ability to follow treatment plans and directives from supervising SLPs
  • Organizational savvy for managing caseloads and paperwork efficiently
  • Passion for creating positive, inclusive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist supervising SLPs in delivering speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
  • Work across multiple school sites within the region, adapting services to meet diverse student needs
  • Implement therapy activities as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records compliant with district and state guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development sessions as needed
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other service providers to maximize student outcomes
  • Provide support and encouragement to help students develop confidence and improved communication skills
