As a contracted, full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), you’ll play a vital part in helping children achieve their speech and language goals while working across multiple school sites in an itinerant capacity.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA license or certification meeting state requirements
- Experience working with students in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with speech/language therapy techniques and documentation
- Positive, adaptable attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between school locations as part of an itinerant caseload
- Collaborative team approach with teachers, SLPs, and other school staff
- Professional and clear communication abilities with students, families, and staff
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language interventions as directed by supervising SLP
- Support the implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Conduct screenings and collect data to monitor student progress
- Prepare and organize materials needed for therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and parent conferences as required
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes for assigned students
- Adapt to changing schedules and assignments across multiple campuses
