Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in Porter County, Indiana. School-based SLPAs can look forward to working with PreK through 12th grade, with caseload sizes generally ranging from 80 to 100 students. The district offers flexibility in assignments, working with candidates to match you to a preferred geographic area or grade band where possible. While this position is primarily onsite, the district is actively exploring teletherapy solutions as alternate coverage methods.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license or credentials for the state of Indiana
  • Experience providing speech-language services to school-aged children (PreK–12 preferred)
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with flexibility in building assignments
  • Completion of all standard compliance steps, including background checks and required district clearances
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families to support student progress
  • Track and document therapy sessions, progress notes, and any interventions with accuracy
  • Support assessment activities and collect relevant data under supervision
  • Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive school community and help facilitate smooth transitions for students within district buildings
