This full-time, in-person, contract opportunity is perfect for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) passionate about making a difference in an educational environment. The position is available immediately and continues through the full school year, with a schedule likely running from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. You’ll spend three days each week at one location, with the remaining two days divided between the other schools.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid, active SLPA license or certification
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Solid understanding of speech and language therapy practices for K-8 students
- Ability to collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and teachers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Flexibility and eagerness to adapt to differing school environments and student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of an SLP, following students’ IEPs
- Support students with articulation, language, and social communication
- Prepare materials, assist with assessments, and track data for progress monitoring
- Attend team meetings and communicate regularly with staff and families
- Adapt therapy strategies to accommodate diverse learners across multiple campuses
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by school and state guidelines
