School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Cypress, Texas

Step into an impactful opportunity supporting students as a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the East Side Houston Metro area. This contract position is ideal for professionals who are committed to making a difference in school settings and can confidently manage a dual-campus assignment. You’ll provide services at both Furr High School and Edison Middle School, working onsite and interacting directly with students and school staff.

Applicants must be capable of commuting reliably between the two sites and demonstrate comfort with East Houston routes. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 28, 2027, offering a stable long-term engagement. Compensation for this role will be provided at $64 per hour.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas SLPA license required (must have completed licensure prior to start)
• Demonstrated school-based SLPA experience
• Comfortable and available for onsite work at both specified campuses
• Reliable transportation and confirmed ability to commute daily between locations
• Willingness and ability to complete required HISD fingerprinting within the initial three days of employment
• Candidate must be prepared to purchase a laptop (full reimbursement provided)

In this position, you’ll deliver direct therapy services in accordance with student IEPs, support ongoing speech and language initiatives, collaborate with supervising SLPs, document progress, and foster positive relationships within the school community.
