A licensed and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support several educational settings on the east and northeast side of the Houston metro area. The assignment spans multiple campuses and requires candidates to be available on-site. The contract runs through late May 2027, offering a valuable opportunity for those able to commute between the locations listed below:

  • Furr High School
  • Edison Middle School
  • Holland Middle School

Applicants must be licensed SLPAs in Texas, with active licensure in hand prior to the start of this assignment. School-based experience is necessary, ensuring an understanding of the unique needs within educational environments. Reliable personal transportation is required to commute to all designated campuses.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLPA license at time of application (screenshot required)
  • Prior work within school settings as an SLPA
  • Demonstrated ability to commute to multiple campuses reliably
  • On-site availability; remote work is not offered
  • Willingness and ability to complete and cover the cost of required fingerprinting within the first three days of contract
  • Capacity to purchase a laptop for work duties (cost will be reimbursed)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Collaborate with educators and other school professionals to foster student development
  • Accurately document session notes and progress data
  • Adapt interventions as needed based on student progress and team input
