Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility to obtain in Virginia
  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is a plus, but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Passion for working with children and supporting diverse learning needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students
  • Implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
  • Prepare materials and activities that support students’ progress and engagement
  • Track and document student performance and session data accurately
  • Participate in team meetings, parent communications, and professional development as needed
  • Adapt activities to meet the varying needs of your caseload
