Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Solid understanding of child language and speech development
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Eagerness to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision
- Carry out therapy activities and individualized plans as outlined by supervising SLP
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Assist in the development of instructional materials and activities for speech/language support
- Engage with students using evidence-based practices to boost communication skills
- Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and professional development sessions as needed
