Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Active Texas licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Solid understanding of child language and speech development
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
  • Eagerness to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under SLP supervision
  • Carry out therapy activities and individualized plans as outlined by supervising SLP
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
  • Assist in the development of instructional materials and activities for speech/language support
  • Engage with students using evidence-based practices to boost communication skills
  • Participate in team meetings, IEPs, and professional development sessions as needed
